Our Mission

The IZE is an association dedicated to expanding the educational impact of zoos and aquariums worldwide. Its mission is to improve the education programs in the facilities of its members, to provide access to the latest thinking, techniques, and information in conservation education and to support excellence in animal care and welfare.

IZE Journal 2012-Call for Papers

IZE is currently accepting submissions for the 2012 IZE Journal. Articles should highlight conservation education trends, initiatives, efforts and achievements of IZE members, and evaluation of education programs. For more information, please read the Instructions to Authors. Articles are due by March 12.


IZE Board-Call for Nominations

IZE is currently accepting nominations for the following IZE Board positions: president-elect, secretary/treasurer, and regional representative/editor for North and Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America. These positions will be vacant as of August 2012. Only full, active IZE members in good standing can be nominated. All nominations are due by March 31, 2012. Read more...
