Stephanie Heinzelmann completed her MSc in Biology with a Diploma in Zoology and Molecular Biology at University Zürich, Switzerland in 1999. In 2003 she got a Master of Advanced Studies in Secondary and Higher Education for Biology, also at the University Zürich. Since 2007 she has had a federal Certificate in Management and Leadership.

From 1997 until 1999 (during her studies) she worked part time for the Landscape and Animal Park in Goldau and t the Zoo Zürich as a Guide, Ranger and Touch Table Supervisor . Shortly after her studies, Stephanie acted as cantonal Coordinator for Bat Conservation in Switzerland. In 2000 she became part of the zoo educator’s team at the Landscape and Animal Park Goldau, and in 2003, she became the Head of Education at this park.
