Environmental Education Officer
Johannesburg Zoo

As an Environmental Education Office at the Johannesburg Zoo, Lawrence is in direct contact with the public, schools, and interest groups. He is developing the Zoo-to-you program for local disadvantaged communities to experience contact with the Zoo. Before joining Johannesburg Zoo, Lawrence completed 8 years of post-graduate work experience, most of which was spent at Food and Trees for Africa, a national environmental NGO.

In his current post, Lawrence feels "that I can make the most significant contribution in this particular post – particularly for the benefit of future generations and for the many people who have not had the opportunity to be informed about biodiversity."
